Some of you may have grown up on McArthur Milk. Even though the jingle states “we all grew up on McArthur”, I personally did not quaff this brand of lactose amidst my childhood rearing.

I grew up on Dave Barry, columnist and author par funny. Barry writes for the Miami Herald, my hometown paper, and his column is syndicated in many other publications. Growing up, I read all of the Dave Barry books and even his novels. Not only did I hungrily consume his works, I was elated by the fact that I actually got his jokes.

Fast forward. It’s 2008. I launch a Kippah website. And this same Dave Barry opines on my venture!

Silence is golden. Brevity is platinum. Barry had just one word to say about my site. Oy.

In gratitude to the shout-out, I sent the following message to Dave: Thanks for mentioning VanityKippah.com on your blog. With regards to your commentary on our site, Oy, FYI, we are soon launching a second Kippah collection titled “Vey”.
